I’m Tony, a musician and a passionate music aficionado, who lives in the English Midlands. I have been involved in music, in one form or another, for most of my life. Having formed my first band at the age of 15 with local friends, I have been in numerous bands in an amateur or semi-professional capacity since then as well as performing and singing in amateur dramatic groups. I have sung lead vocals and played guitar and bass over the years, mainly on the pub and club circuits. The catalyst for my interest in performing came with the punk movement of the 1970’s, which shook-up the music establishment and showed me that it was possible to make music even with the most basic tools, as long as you had the enthusiasm to try. However, prior to that, and to this day, I have a keen interest in a wide, variety of music ranging from blues to progressive and heavy rock, from jazz to classical and from indie to folk, as witnessed by a large, eclectic, record collection. I have written and co-written many original songs over the years and am currently one half of the duo, Echofinity, who continue to write and record, original work, to this day. Echofinity’s music is available on all good streaming sites as well as sites such as Youtube. Having been diagnosed with PD in 2014 I stepped back from performing and work as a studio based musician, and look forward to sharing my musical choices with you on Radio Parkies, which will cover a wide eclectic range of music.
