My name is John and I’m 49 years old and diagnosed with PD since Feb 2009. I have been married for 10 years to Suzanne and have a 19 year daughter and an 11 year old dog called Scooby. I try to keep as active as possible with both Mind and Body but find the Body side of it hard work to maintain. One of the things I do use to help me push on when struggling is listening to Music.
I have always enjoyed listening music as both my Mum and Older Sister were always playing something. I like most genres of music with some more than others. I really enjoy Indi, Metal / Rock & 80’s but will listen to most depending how my mood takes me at that moment.
I’m looking forward to starting this new challenge of hosting a radio programme on Radio Parkies with a mixture of excitement and nerves in equal measure.
I intend to play a bit of everything and hope anyone who listens can enjoy my choices also.
