I love music, bought up in the diversity of Leicester with Motown, Rock, Funk, Soul - well anything and everything as my soundtrack - I was and I am still a feverish consumer of music. Loving to dance and sing badly to anything loudly and loud.
My first single was by Human League- ‘Don’t you want me’ and I was overjoyed whilst working as a waitress, in a cocktail bar - to serve Phil Oakey.
My passion for all things extends to people, described as a “force of nature”. - I am determined to make a difference to the best of my ability for all who have Parkinson’s.
Diagnosed at 35, running a support group for Early Onset, I also work at improving services in Leicestershire, whilst representing YOPD as part of EPDA, and working with government at a local through to European level to create positive sustainable change.
Join me at ‘The Peak of the Week’, every Wednesday Lunchtime, to celebrate achievements by and for people with Parkinsons, and talk the topics that have come up that day.
‘Sunday Stories’, is all about the great narratives that surround our lives - stories inspired by songs, memories or fabulous people.
